(View from the apartment in the evening.)
I would say Kirkland is officially our home for next three months. We completely unpacked our stuff and made the apartment into our home (as much as possible). We got to know surroundings and roads around. The weather got more normal (more rain and clouds). We as well had to accept higher prices (pretty much on everything). Gasoline runs around here 4.25 for gallon. (National average is 3.71.)

Still raining. Snoqualmie is small town with certain charm and railroad museum. Woman in visitor's center was originally from Michigan. Quick lunch. Driving to waterfalls. The place is undergoing reconstruction, so hiking path is closed, but it was still impressive wonder of nature.
Slow drive back home. We visited a farm, that is transformed into children's theme park. Farmer's market. Nursery. Interesting drive.

We took bus to Seattle and spend most of the day just walking around and exploring the city.

SundayWe drove to Seattle, so J. could buy a bike for 20 dollars. On the way back we stopped in Third Place bookstore in Lake forest park. The weather became more reasonable, so we took hike in Saint Edward Park, that in on the edge of Kirkland.
